David Truhett is a follower of Christ, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, retired teacher, and life-long dog lover. His two most faithful playmates as a child were his sister Darlene and his German shepherd Linda, and Linda never tried to hurt him. He and his wife Cindy have been married almost 40 years, and Roxie (a pure-bred mutt from the animal shelter) is their constant companion.
David began his relationship with Recess4Rover as a client. For nearly a year, he spent every other weekend taking care of his dad in Mississippi, so in his absence, David and Tina Miller would walk Roxie once or twice a day. Then, his retirement came just as Tina was about to have her first knee replacement, so he filled in for her --- partly to see if dog-walking might be his long-term retirement gig. And so it is! As of January of 2024, he is purchasing a franchise of Recess4Rover, Tina is reclaiming her clientele, and he is officially open for business!
Just like David and Tina, David Truhett is absolutely convinced that regular walks are a vital part of every dog's mental and physical health AND that every dog deserves to be treated with love and affection. So his clients' dogs will get a lot more than a 30-minute walk --- they will receive the hands-on affection that they all crave.
